Kids Tech Day 2010


Today EOCCS heads to Trenton for Kids Tech Day, we are one of eleven schools selected in this year's event. Our project involves distanced learning using Skype to call Venezuela as part of Spanish Class. The lesson incorporated World Language, Geography, Social Studies, and Math. Here is some video of the final call made on April 21, 2010.

4th Grade Trip to Sterling Hill Mining Museum

3rd Grade Cultural Fair April 15, 2010



The 3rd Grade held a Cultural Fair on April 15th, the tudents did projects and came dressed in costumes as they became ambassadors for the country they represented. The students also sampled food from different countires as part of the experience.

Classroom 1-3 Animal Habitats


Class 1-3 learned about animals and their habitats. The students then made dioramas of the dessert, wetlands, forest, and ocean.

Environmental Puppet Show



In December the students enjoyed a Puppet Show about the environment and how we can become GREEN. I decided to wait until April to share the video when our students might need a reminder about the importance of Reduce!  Reuse!  Recycle!

Spanish Club Puppet Show: La Sorpresa De Nandi


On March 23rd, the Spanish Club pefromed a puppet show, "La Sorpresa De Nandi" and invited the kidergarten classes to attend. The show told the story that happend in Africa among two friends; Nandi and Tindi.
Nandi wanted to give a surprise to her friend but it turned out that the animals gave her the surprise by taking the fruits and having a fruit different from what she originally put in the basket.


Children had the opportunity to learn animals and fruits' names in the target language and taste passion and guava juice. They also saw the real passion fruit, mango avocado and guava.
