2nd Grade State Project
The 2nd Grade did a project about the United States. They presented the project to their parents of Friday June 18th. They also performed a song from their rained out concert.

1st & 2nd Grade Celebrate Father's Day
On June 18th, 1st and 2nd Grade held Breakfast for their Dads. They presented them with gifts and sang songs after enjoying their breakfast.
Strange Computer Classes
Over the last 2 days I had 2 Second Grade classes arrive in the Computer Lab with their faces painted by the Art Teacher. It made for a great photo op!
Honor Students Roller Skating Party
On Monday June 14th, the Honor Students were rewarded by taking a trip to the Branch Brook Park Roller Rink. The students skated and played games followed by a Pizza Party back at school.

My Body My Friend Ceremony

At the same time the 4th Grade boys were celebrating the completion of "Boys Connection" the girls were having their own ceremony. The girls completed the counterpart Health program, "My Body, My Friend".
The girls received certificates as well as special gifts.

On Friday, June 11th, the 4th Grade Boys celebrated the successful completion of their health program "Boys Connection". Students received certificates and hygiene kits as part of the celebration.

Field Day 2010
For the 2nd year in a row the weather did not cooperate for Field Day. On Thursday June 10th we had planned a day filled with fun outdoor activities for the students but Mother Nature had other ideas. Instead of a full day at the park, students enjoyed indoor activities along with some time outside. Teachers lead the students playing games, watching movies, face painting, and other activities. Despite the weather everyone had fun.

1st Grade Brox Zoo
On Tuesday June 8th the first took their own safari to the Bronx Zoo. The students were able to see many different animals and habitats they learned about during the year.

4th Grade Medieval Times
On Friday June 4th, the 4th Grade took a trip to Medieval Times. They enjoyed lunch and Medieval Tournament. Cynamon and Koran from Class 4-1 took video of the experience to share. Judging from the amount of video they took of the show it really looks like they had a good time.

4th Grade Trip to Jenkinson's Aquarium
On Tuesday May 25th the 4th grade took a trip to Jenkinson's Aquarium in Point Pleasant. The students learned about marine life and enjoyed a day at the beach. They wanted to share this 4 part video of their experience.

Science Fair Fun!

EOCCS Annual Science Fair
On May 26th and May 27th, EOCCS held their annual Science Fair. This year's theme was GO GREEN! 4th grade students and classes were encouraged to do project with an Earth friendly theme. Some projects included reusing materials to make things we use everyday like planters and pencil holders. The students worked extremely hard on their projects and did an excellent job representing the theme.

A Look Back at Field Day 2009
With Field Day 2010 just around the corner on June 10th. I wanted to look back at last year.
On June 12, 2009 Field Day took place after being rained out the day before. The threat of rain caused another change in plans to make the best possible day for our students. Here are some pictures from the events that took place for Kindergarten and First Grade. The students started the day with a movie followed by face painting and a magic show.
