Stop the Violence March October 22nd


On Friday October 22nd, EOCCS held it's Annual March Against Violence. This year we were joined by EOCDC and Clark School. Mr. Dash Started of the presentation in the playground talking to the students about Bullying. We had some surprise guests returning for the 2nd time this month the E.O. Fire Department to remind the students about Fire Safety. 4th Grade student Nahree W. also addressed his fellow students. Mrs Schwebel read a poem to close out the rally.

Violence Awareness Week Stop the Violence Artwork


October 18th was the start of Violence Awareness Week, the students created posters to show their support for the cause. EOCCS will hold it's Annual March Against Violence Friday October 22nd at

1st Grade Mackey's Orchard Trip


The First grade visited Mackey's Orchard on October 12th. They went apple picking and learned about the orchard and how apples are processed for different uses.

Fire Prevention Week 2010 Fire Department Visit


On Friday October 8th the Kindergarten was visited by the Fire Department as part of Frie Prevention Week. The program started in the classroom with a lesson on Fire Safety and then the students were treated to some time to explore a Fire Engine outside.

3rd Grade Slam Dunks the Junk!


On October 6, 2010, the EOCCS 3rd Grade took park in alitter awareness program at City Hall called
"Slam Dunk the Junk". This is the 2nd straight year the students took part in the program to help keep their community clean.

1-1 Skype Call to Ms. Perry


Classroom 1-1 is preparing for Ms. Perry to come back to EOCCS.  She will return early December.  In preparation of her return, we Skype each week.  The children have an opportunity to sing with Ms. Perry as well as ask her questions.  Miss N. Jones decided to Skype her often throughout the week so that the students will be familiar with Ms. Perry when she comes back to school.
